D.Nayne Lucas, legendary horse coach, dead in 89, says family

Legendary horse coach D. Wayne Lukas died, his family said on Sunday. Was 89 years old.

Lucas has recently been hospitalized with a heavy MRSA blood infection, which has long damaged his heart and digestive system. The disease has worsened the pre-existing chronic conditions.
