Turkey: Istanbul Mayor arrested in court as supporters gathered outside the prison

Istanbul’s arrested opposition mayor came to court for one of several cases against him on Friday. Hundreds of supporters outside Silivri prison, a court hearing in the western Istanbul. Mayor Akram Imamoglu, was taken into custody in Silivri since March 23. This happens to threaten a prosecutor, which is causing national protests before last month.
