Ghana General Justice Hertrude Torkornoo was suspended by the President

GANAIAN President John Mahama postponed the senior beeki of the country’s Supreme Court – an action that celebrates a first in the history of the country.

The investigation has started and three unexplained applications have been filed against Gertrude Torkornoo by calling its permanent removal.

The content of the applications did not be made public and still not commented, and claimed that the delay in Ghana had an attempt to break the justice.

“I think this is a complete charade,” Godfred Yeboah Dame told the BBC.

“This is the greatest attack on the largest attack on the independence of the judiciary with the Constitutional distribution of this country.”

MS Torkornoo is the third female chief justice of Ghana and former President Nana Akufo-Addo was nominated in 2023.

It is his responsibility to control the administration of justice.

According to Reuters News Agency, MS Torkornoo, previous President Akufo-Addo escaped demanding the beginning of this year.

The copies of the recent application against MS Torkornoo were not available for him.

However, some lawyers claimed that the documents were violated by MS Torkornoo’s right to a fair trial.

Copies of the application subsequently submitted to justice, allowed him to respond to private and written claims.

MS Torkornoo will be invited to reply to applications before the final decision is made to be lifted or not by the five-member committee.
