The pace of diplomatic efforts is accelerated for the end of the war in Ukraine.
Negotiations between Britain, Germany, France, Ukraine and US officials are being held in London. Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff is going to Moscow for the fourth meeting with President Putin.
And there is still less clarity about whether these efforts are or not successful.
The American plan was not long for the end of the war in Ukraine.
It will be an unconditional 30-day ceasefire, after a longer term talks to build a permanent solution to the war.
Ukraine agreed and under pressure from the United States – a great concession; Prior to the suspension of military operations, it would not request long-term security guarantees.
However, Russia refused to play the ball, and a number of conditions did not end in the battle until they were met.
In particular, Vladimir Putin said the war was like a sovereign state such as a sovereign state for the NATO union and Ukraine and Ukraine’s security for the security of Russia.
The United States has accepted the building of this Russian argument and now the potential ceasefire is deep in the weeds.
In recent days, the latest views of the United States, status and accuracy are different leaks between diplomats.
However, it seems like a framework for the following lines: Russia will cease to occupy throughout the current lines, and the rest of four parts of Ukraine, ie Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhzhia and Kherson.
In return, it will accept the four US-occupied territories as the Russian administration.
In addition, in 2014, Russia will recognize Crimea, which has illegally annexed in 2014. The United States would rule out the accession of Ukraine to NATO.
As part of this plan, the US controversial Zaporizhzhia can control a nuclear power plant – currently in Russian hands – and can feed electricity into both parts of Ukrainian territory.
This proposal will then be supported by the US threats – as Developed by President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the immediate refusal of negotiations in the absence of an agreement.
At first glance it is impossible to succeed in this offer.
President Zelensky has already said that Ukraine is never the Russian sovereignty of Crimea.
Although he wanted to do so, the referendum of the Ukrainian people could not be required.
European powers have announced the Russian sovereignty in Crimea to disrupt the Russian sovereignty, which will violate the borders of the war against military force.
Legal experts say there are technical problems in connection with the recognition of Crimea due to some laws adopted by the US Congress.
Nevertheless, Western diplomats do not miss the plan. “There is a landing area,” he said. “It is a question that there is enough trust between the parties.”
It is said that the proposed transaction contains large gaps, as it leaks so far.
In the past, Russia has no reference to Western countries that continue something that has been a red line for Russia.
In other words for the requirements of Russia to be “Demilitarized” to Ukraine to Ukraine, in other words for a longer term Moscow demand for the army.
Ukraine has not been allowed to join NATO under the transaction, but it can join the European Union.
After any ceasefire to prevent future Russian aggression, Ukraine has no open protests to the Western Ukraine.
It is still not clear if the United States wants to provide this power. There is uncertainty about Russia’s economic sanctions and when and whenever and when they are.
In other words, a large number of detail is unknown and still discussed.
And every parties look away.
Ukraine still immediately wants a conventional ceasefire and then wants negotiations. The United States wants a quick win. And Russia has been to take a deeply in the detail of a peace deal for years to solve for years.
“There is an old Russian that says nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.” Currently, we are very far from it.
