In the United Kingdom, the Women’s World Cup for 2035 tournaments will expand from 32 to 48 teams.
The decision was adopted at the meeting of the Virtual FIFA Council on Friday.
The Women’s World Cup will take effect since 2031 when it was staged in the United States.
FIFA must still confirm the hosts of 2031 and 2035. The 2027 tournament in Brazil will remain 32 teams.
This will jump from 64 to 104 to 104 in the 32-team format, and in 2026, the number of games will jump in the United States, Canada and Mexico in the World Cup.
