The Taliban government in Afghanistan has banned the chess to another warning due to fears of the gambling of the game.

Authorities said the game was indefinitely banned until the Islamic law could be determined.

Chess is the latest sport to be restricted by the Taliban. Women are generally prohibited from participating in sports.
