NFL owners allowed players to allow the 2028 Olympics to participate in flag football.
Voting at Spring Meetings on Tuesday, the NFL Players Association and Logists related to the administrative bodies of the NFL players in Los Angeles and the relevant international and national team management authorities allowed the league to discuss.
The NFL club is not allowed to multiple players. Olympic rosters will be elected by the National Committee in each country.
“It is an amazing honor for any athlete to represent their countries in the Olympics, which is the summit of the global sport,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
“I know that there are a lot of excitement between NFL players interested in competing in the world stage in the world stage in the Olympics. Now we are excited to have this chance.”
As part of the proposed agreement, 6 women and 6 female teams of 10 players would fight in Los Angeles. NFL, representing the national flag football teams in the NFL player, would begin with the pre-test or qualification of the Olympic race.
“Players will be pleased with a great desire in honor of the Olympic competition, we will be able to represent the countries of our members in the highest international stage,” said NFL Players Association Executive Director Lloyd Howell Jr.
“We are looking forward to dealing with the terms of working with the conditions of the League, IFAF and the Olympic power of operation, so they will do it with health, safety and protection.”
The 2028 summer game is scheduled to take place between July 14-30. NFL players, in general, from mid-July to the beginning of the training camp in the end of July.
