Werder Bremen Sack Coach Werner

Werder Bremen said coach Ole Werner, saying he would not extend his resistance to the club.

37-year-old, 2025-26 was contracted by the end of the campaign, but he said he would not update the agreement outside the point.

“As we need the resistant to the position of head coach in the future, we decided to allow OLE to go,” said Bremen’s managing director for Sports Clemens Fritz.

“We were truly discouraged by this decision, because we could easily imagine with Ole.”

Werner resigned after resigning Bremen’s head coach in unusual conditions in November 2021, Salafi Markus Anfang’s counterfeit Covid-19 vaccine.

He said, “For me, after the end of my contract, and after four and a half years, the head coach needs to change the head coach.
