On Monday, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) officially postponed the Asian Cup 2025 Asian Cup in Sri Lanka on Monday (June). Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) President Silva Accoral Stenic protested to postpone the tournament due to the inevitable situation of Mohsin Naqvi.

In the letter, Silva spoke about two major concerns, and they are increasing health risks due to the spread of Chikungunya’s disease in Sri Lanka. These concerns were seriously approaching, decided to postpone the tournament to ensure the safety of players and employees.
