The California Interscholastic Federation made a change to allow even biological women to get the first place medals if they were expelled by a transgender athlete.
“It’s definitely crazy. I get very hate comments but I don’t care” Hernandez Told KCRA-TV with a laugh. “I’m a crazy attitude 16 year old girl – do you think I think?”

Trump, in February, signed the executive order “Men in women’s sports”, to prohibit schools that allow schools to compete in girls and women’s sports. California was one of the five states that saw transgender athletes win medals in the championships in 2024-25 High school sports Season.
