World boxing will present a compulsory sex test for boxers in all competitions.
In the past summer, the believer Khelif, who won the Olympic Welterweight gold in Paris, will not be able to compete until they pass a test.
World boxing wrote to the Algerian Boxing Federation, the Khelif will not be able to participate in the Eindhoven Box Cup or any world boxing event next month.
The letter reads: “Faith khelif, on June 5-10, 2025, June 5-10, 2025 or world boxing, in accordance with the rules of genetic sexual examination, in women’s category in women’s category in women’s category.”
Although the Khelif International Olympic Committee (IOC) was conducted by the 2024 Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Boxing Association (IBA), the International Boxing Championships were disqualified, they did not meet the compliance criteria.
The test of the PCR (polymerase chain reaction), which will use world boxing, determines sexual intercourse, is required to take one with all athletes over 18 years old.
In this test, Sry Gene, searched for genetic material.
Sry Gene is almost always in the y chromosome playing a decisive role in determining the sexual features of men.
The test can be carried by a nose or mouth swab, saliva or blood.
Athletes thought to be a man in childbirth, Y Chromosome Genetic Material (Sry Gene) or Men’s Androgenate Sexual Development (DSD) will gain the right to compete in the male category.
Khelif said in March: “I see myself as a girl, like any other girl. I was born as a girl and lived all my life as one person.”
The world boxing said: “The application of the mandatory test will be part of a new policy in sexual, age and weight to ensure the safety of all participants and a competitive level for men and women.
“World boxing is respect for the dignity of all persons and its priority, to provide security and competitive justice to all athletes.
“To do this, it is important to preserve and apply the serious categories of genuine categories, and the world boxing means that the competitions will work for athletes classified as men or women.”
Politics also includes the application process.
Sky Sports News High Correspondent Geraint Hughes:
“There are a number of reasons to do so in the world box – there is a lot of noise to stop a noise.
“Some boxers ‘Eindhoven why do you have Khelif?’ There is a lot of hatred in social media, especially on social media. So this can be a sharp tool, a sharp tool for recent clarification about it, it can be a very sensitive tool.
“There was so many wrong information around the Khelif. Not a transgender athlete. Its passport and birth certificate said he was a woman.
“If the test comes back and has two X chromosomes and there is a woman and there is no DSD, the end of this argument. We can get clarified in one way.
“World boxing has only received a node to become an amateur and an amateur and olympic level, so we get this now.
“There will be a few weeks for the Khelif, but we can get a little clarity at the end of this process.
“If the test is once done and a female or a woman or a man or a man or a man or a accredited laboratory is a woman or a man you think that everything is done in the right way.
“But the warning is the purchase of another test.”
