Unlike remote-controlled robot matches, This tournament Special zero human intervention. Each team played three active humanoid robots plus a substitute, two ten minutes half-minute with a five-minute break.
Robots ran, walked, kicked and even accepted real-time decisions using AI and sensors. Cameras and optical sensors allowed the ball to detect 65 feet of more than 90% accuracy. Also, teammates, field markings, goals and competitors have been recognized. Despite a little awkward, robots moving without any foreign orders, moving and reacting robots.
What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
“This is the first full Mukhtar AI robot football game in China. He represents the combination of technological innovation and industrial application,” said the executive director of the Organizing Committee.
Outside of the entertainment, the event offered a serious idea of how AI and robotics could integrate social exercise. This demonstrated how much real-world autonomy can work and how these systems can work in unexpected environments. Dou said that the match is a step towards bringing smart machines to daily scenarios.

The event was also previously viewed in 2025 to 2025 World Humanoid Robot Sports Game. The games include eleven phenomena, including traditional sports, including trace and area, gymnastics, football and synchronous dance. This will be the second major humanoid sports event in the city after a half marathon.
The organizers noted that although the robots are still facing the dynamic barrier, progress occurs quickly. Clashes for this event were not harmful. A Koapanner compared the game level compared to 5 or 6-year-olds, but the skill levels will be better and improve with AI education.

As Pekin 2025 is preparing to hold a global game, the robot starts to feel less like a gimmick and thinks less like an idea that smart machines can play a significant role in our daily lives.
