Doña Mother County, Santa Teresa Solar and Storage Project, in New Mexico, entered the construction stage.
The project is developed by De Shaw Renewable Investments (DSR) in cooperation with El Paso Electric (EPE).
It includes a renewable energy initiative, 150 MVTO Sunny Solar Solar, 600 Megawatt-Clock (MWH) battery power storage system (BESS).
The project is the second enterprise in the field of EPE after the Carne project, which began construction in 2024 in 2024.
With the Epe 20-year-old energy purchase contract (PPA), Santa Teresa will provide a fairly clean electricity to meet the annual needs of 60,000 homes served by EPE.

The financing of this development was provided through several financial institutions, including DNB Bank ASA, New York Branch and Canadian National Bank, joint coordinating lead regulators.
Additional support Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Limited came from New York Branch and Korean Development Bank. Deutsche Bank Guven will control administrative aspects as part of the American role.
