Elias Rahbani’s genius, composing a song for some of the greatest stars in Lebanese music.
Elias Rahbani’s genius, one of the longest-term composers of Lebanon, is clear in creating new votes in the creation of traditional Arab music with Western popular genres. His two-year-old brother was famous to work with Fairuz, but Elias took his career and became a leading figure in Lebanese pop music. He also composed the topics of film soundtracks for music for popular Lebanese TV series and advertising. The two-part documentary series speaks with the story of an emergency career, musicians, singers and families and friends, the most popular names of some Arab music with the Lebanese TV archive. He called him “Third Rahbani”, but Elias became a true music tab.
The second part of the film takes the story after his career is already taken and won international song contests in Germany, France, Bulgaria and Austria. He composed music for movie scores, stage plays, children’s songs, television and radio ads. Finally, the giant singer fulfilled the dream of composing a song for Fairuz, and the shadow of his famous brothers, Mansour and Assi. The film also presents part of life and character in Lebanon before the Civil War. In the following years, the health of the elimination decreased, and he died of complications from Covid-19 during the Pandemic in January 2021.
