Glacier collapse swallows part of Swiss village

A Swiss mountain village was buried in ice, mud and rock after a maple glacier after a large part of the maple glacier.

Blatten village evacuated from about 300 residents a few days ago, was full of thousands of mud and ice on Wednesday.

Global warming causes glaciers to melt rapidly. Meanwhile, permafrost – often described as glue, which is the high mountains together – melted at the same time.

One person was reported missing and many houses were flattened.
