Sergey Tixhanovsky has been difficult for more than five years.
During this period, he dared to stand up to a dictator in a high security, he was held in a one-on-private prison in Belarusian prison.
Now the former opposition blogger is free and the thoughts that make the words stream in a way so quickly fight to continue to continue.
“The conversation limit was the hardest thing,” Sergei acknowledged when a surprise met in Vilnius several times.
“You can’t talk to anyone when you don’t say anything or write something – it’s just a cell door – it’s the hardest thing – not the limit on the movement.”
Sergei is now released after a rare trip to the authoritarian ruler of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko’s authoritarian ruler.
When asked about his family with his family, Sergey raises a hand on his face and whites.
It was only four when his daughter was arrested.
“He did not know me,” he finally manages after a long break. “Then he threw himself in my arms and hugged a long time.”
Sergei arrest shock since his arrest.
Withdrew in 2020 and was bearded. Face now near the nearest shady head. He says about 60 kg (132 pounds) in prison, as well as endless weeks in penalty cells.
“My size and half of my size is physically half,” Sergei said. “But my soul is not broken. Perhaps more stronger.”
“I had previously heard the crimes of this regime, but now I have seen them first and we must fight.”
Until last week, Sergey Tixhanovsky was one of the most prominent political prisoners in Belarus.
The 2020 presidential election has developed a great youth and developed a large youth of people to film about the complaints and problems of people.
Then he tried to make a huge slippers, and tried to celebrate Belarusians to “stop the cockole.”
“I used the chance to show democratic democratic in Belarus,” Sergei said. “I wanted to show that the elections were fake and arrested.”
His wife, Svetlana Tohanovskaya, attracted the great crowd when he went to escape on the spot. After claiming another impossible victory of Lukashenko, this crowd turned out to be a mass protest soon.
Sergei was always alone for ill-treatment as they want to treat patients as other high-profile figures, “they wanted or destroy or destroy or destroy.
“I was in general insulation for the past two and a half years. I did not receive a letter in almost three years. They have not allowed me to phone talks for almost three years.
Not allowed to see a priest.
“They will say: You will die in prison. We continue to extend your time and you will not go out.”
Sergei often sent a brand for a brand on a wall or street – to make the issues more worse.
“Those cells can be a hole in place for the toilet, including three or two meters,” he said. “There is no mattress, sheet or pillow.”
It has been hot every hour throughout the hour, to be warm with a set of squats and seating, weapons and feet in the wooden wheel, and he had to restart the training.
To cope, all thoughts of family and friends should have vacated her brain.
“You have to put it on one side,” he says. “Because if you think about how they are, you will not live.”
Last August when Sergey began to think.
The deputy prosecutor began prisons and “Seriously recommend” and Sergey, as if political prisoners are “Seriously recommend and write to his pardon.”
Lukashenko suddenly merciful and some of themselves to look free.
Sergey and other great names, like Victor Babaryka and Maria Kolesnikova, were not listed.
But he never entrested his opinion to return to his children.
“I’m not a criminal,” he explains. “So that would be the betrayal of all those who support me.”
Then entered the United States last week.
Special ambassador KEith Kellogg, when he visited Minsk to intercede for American citizens in prison, also appeared with Sergey.
A great victory for Kellogg for Lukashenko was a great victory diplomatic.
He was stored by Western countries because he was suppressed by peaceful protests in 2020.
The active support of Russia to occupy Ukraine still isolated.
“Now Lukashenko can start joint cooperation, a dialogue with the United States,” Sergei explains, explaining that Lukashenko released some prisoners.
“This price was: starting contact with him. Because no one was attractive.”
Sergei does not want anything else than the release of other political prisoners. There are more than 1000 in total.
In tears, the young man recently describes the meeting with the “old man” that was a young friend.
“I would give something to get it all,” Sergey says. “I think we have to pay any price. But I don’t want not to throw all sanctions.”
Now the opposition leader Sergei’s wife is pleased to withdraw with him and his children. However, Svetlana says I am careful not to the next US movement.
“We do not soften sanctions until the repression is fully standing.” “14 people were released, 28 more were caught in Belarus. There is no change in politics for Lukashenko.”
The first week of Sergey’s freedom passed through an action. He met with politicians and spoke and wrote to Donald Trump with his satisfaction. He also occupies the lost time with his children – both isolated all the news.
What about his ambitions? The last time he and Svetlana was a housewife and he was political. So can there be tension?
“There is no claim to his role,” Sergey said. “I don’t need it. I just need a democratic Belarus.”
