Kang: It was difficult. It is a very loyal, special fan base waiting for more than each aspect. Whether it’s design, lighting, animation, we have been convinced that we see in K-POP today. The videos of the dance experience we see are good. “How will we get what’s as big as they do as real people” [and] make it an animation and lift it? “Some K-dram lighting and music video lighting is also so beautiful. IO9: What was the most exciting moment of the director Kpop Demon HuntersWhen you really hit a eureka moment, when you feel really peculiar and special?
Appelhans: In stages. Different scenes presented a different part of the promise. I see a few funny reference videos and animations for one of the girls’ conversations, I see this exact comedy, I like it, “God, girls will be really cute and adorable.” And the first time it sees great chorea and animation. IO9: Speaking of pop songs, the film also provides contributions to talented members twice. How did you approach cooperation with K-Pop artists to bring music elements? Kpop Demon Hunters Exercise? What was the soundtrack to ensure the energy supply only by the film, and at the same time completed the emotional core?
Kang: For the whole film, it was really important to live in this K-pop space. And cooperating with a true K-Pop artist finally legalized our project in the world of K-Pop. Work with all these beautiful Pop writers writing for black labels and BTS, twice and eventually to collaborate twice. Ian Eisendrath and Sony music, which are the manufacturer of executive music, really wanted this album to feel like a true, legitimate K-Pop album, and they brought this amazing team and created an album that could keep it in the K-pop cavity.

Kang: One way to answer, we have told many stories about animation, lifeless objects [and] different animals. First of all, it is really important to try to show as many diversity as possible in animation, because first, it is still accepted as an environment for a younger audience.
