Pakistani Cricket Council (PCB) chairman Mohsin Nagvi seized a great leading role as a new president of the Asian Cricket Council. The 46-year-old will officially take office after the President of the General Council of the Asian Cricket Council.
Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva serves as a temporary head of the Asian Cricket Council. Mohsin Nagvi was unanimously elected to the Pakistan Cricket Council for a three-year term last year. The PCB chairman was instructed to the Asia Cricket Council.
Jay Shah Asian Cricket Council served until 2024, but fell down to assume the role of the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Mohsin Naqvi was expected to succeed first. However, Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva, the President of ACC.
Mohsin Naqvi was elected President of the Asian Cricket Council for a two-year term. The decision was made during the virtual meeting of the ACC Executive Committee. When an official announcement of the Asian Cricket Council has still been waiting, Pakistani journalists reported.
