For more than a decade, an eagle statues inspired by a couple of hobbettes have taken a careful eye to visitors at the Wellington airport of New Zealand.
However, huge birds will open from the ceiling to show a way for a new mystery exhibition from the ceiling on Friday.
Eagles JRR Tolkien’s Rings Lord and New Zealand Sir Peter Jackson’s movie looks like the apostles of the rings and hobbit.
The magnificent New Zealand landscapes displayed in Mr Jackson’s films are a consistent draw for tourists greeted by eagle statues at the airport.
“In this case, the Wellington airport is not unusual to see the walking of the air worm, but in this case, it will be emotional for us,” said Wellington said the Cooker Matt Clarke at the airport.
Giant eagles will be placed in the warehouse and there were no long-term plans for them.
Each eagle weighs 1.2 tons (1,200 kg) with wings of 15 m (49ft). Riding behind one of the birds is the sculpture of the magician, Gandalf.
With a polystyrene and an internal steel skeleton, each eagle has hundreds of feathers, 2.4m (8ft) in the longest.
Double eagles will not go soon, all of the franchise does not lose for fans: the magnificent, Hobbit in the dragon, will continue to be displayed in the registration field.
In 2013, the eagles were presented during the release of Hobbit Trilogy. Giant statues are produced by Wētā Workshop, the company based on New Zealand, was produced by the company that prepares clothing and props for the Lord’s Lord.
“We work with Wētā workshop on some interesting plans for a unique, local themed replacement to get their place,” said Mr Clarke. “We will open what this year is next to follow the heavens.”
In 2014, one of the eagles crashed during the earthquake. No one was injured from this accident.
