Nvidia (Nvda) CEO Jensen Huang AI has great plans for the data center industry. During the company GTC conference, the executive and co-founder of the chip giant debut Nvidia’s spectrum-x and quantum-x Silicone photonics network systems.
Tie together multiple NVIDIA graphic chips together to perform as a giant system of network keys. Huang, Spectrum-X and Quantum-X photonics can be connected to hundreds of and even thousands of GPUs and the information center will allow the Central Commerce to 1 million GPUs.
This is a massive jump from the current largest AI supercomputer, Khai’s collossuConsisting of 100,000 NVidia Hopper GPU. According to Huang, these million cluster information centers will join the media to create mass data center objects to other millions of dollar information centers nearby.
“We will build giant AI factories in the next few years. Not normal AI factories … What you have seen from space,” Huang said.
