In 2025, the world press photo, doha-based Palestinian photographer Samar Abu Erouf was awarded, Mahmoud Ajjour’un fierce image, while a young boy was seriously injured when fleeing an Israeli attack in Gaza.
In the photo taken for the New York Times, Mahmud’s punishment and sustainability cut off one of the goals after the explosion in March last year and the other was broken.
Because of the evacuation of Gaza in December 2023, Abu Erouf documented the experiences of people like Mahmud, who wanted medical treatment abroad.
An amsterdam-based organization, an amsterdam-based organization, Executive Director of the World Press Picture Jouman El Zein Khoury, talking with a broader reflection of the global confrontation, described the intimate torment of a child and described as a “calm”.
The winner and two finalists were announced on Thursday, in the press opening of the World Press Photo Exhibition in Amsterdam. The exhibition will go to more than 60 worldwide by demonstrating the most attractive and visual awaiting stories in the world.
For 70 years, the World Press Photo Contest has honored the best in photojournalism. This year’s competition, at least 59,000 recommendations from photographers in 141 countries, presented strong stories of strong struggles, heat, heat and courage.
