President of the Portuguese Football Federation Pedro Proenca, Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, his brother Andre Silva, who was killed in a car accident overnight, gave tribute.

Proenca said: “Portuguese Football Federation and Portuguese football puts completely devastated by Diogo Jota and André Silva in Spain this morning.
“More than a fantastic player, with almost 50 international speeches for the national team, Diogo Jota, all colleagues and competitors, was a respectable person with a community-contagious joy and reference (point).
“On behalf of my step and Portuguese Football Federation, Diogo and André Silva, as well as Liverpool FC and FC Penafiel, I give the deepest condolences to the clubs played accordingly.
“We lost two champions. Diogo and Andre Silva’s loss represents irreparable losses for Portugal football and will do everything to glorify their inheritance daily.”
The Portuguese Football Federation asked for a minute of silence for UEFA’s women’s women against Spain.
