Was a coffee lover or hater coming with this innovative idea? If your morning coffee can help build the next offspring of environmental friendly houses? This is what the researchers conducted in Australia: Turn the rest of the remaining coffee. This brick from repeated coffee pitches is not just an experience. Strong, durable and can significantly reduce construction waste and expenses. This is how your daily brewed are the foundation of green buildings.

Researchers at the University of Technology in Swinburne found a creative way to reduce the material costs to repair both construction waste and material costs from recycled coffee sites. Instead of allowing all these coffee waste to go to landfills, they focused on local coffee shops to collect places straight from Espresso machines. Then, mixing coffee waste with a natural clay and alkaline activator, they just developed a recipe for low emission bricks, which are not only more sustainable and faster than traditional clays.

Coffee is the second most popular drinking world only beaten with the river. Thus, about two and a quarter of two and a quarter of a billion pounds are consumed. If you are an average of espressos, cappuccino and Americans, then each cup is brewed using about eleven grams with fresh ground coffee. However, more than nine million tons of coffee causes a bean pitch. In turn, this creates eight million tons of wet and burned side products thrown into landfills every year. So there is an abundance, but can coffee sites be more effective than traditional clay bricks?
This innovative method spent on the ranged coffee pitches reduces the energy needed for brick molds. Even low quality traditional clay bricks should be cooked in more than 900 Seelsi. These new coffee bricks should be cooked only in 200 degrees Celsius. This is 80 percent of energy use, that is, this brick is significantly effective for both the environment and production costs.
Dr. Lead Scientist. Wong, claimed, “Energy is designed to produce faster, produce and reduce electricity-related co₂ waste for 80 percent.”
Not only declining suggestions, but experts claim that these coffee bricks are very sustainable. According to green brick, “the minimum standard for strength” has doubled.

In June, the University of Technology, the Australian company, the Australian company took a step forward by signing an IP licensing agreement with green brick. This partnership paves the way to use bricks made of recycled coffee courts in real-world construction projects. Green brick founder Philip NG, “The materials for last centuries were evaluated for something
While the Swinburne team changed coffee waste, the world explores similar ways to others. A group of researchers in London, Sugarcrete, developed bio-bricks made of sugar tailings. As such innovations gain traction, re-organic materials begin to appear as a practical and dimensional alternative to the construction industry.
This can be stronger than you think of your coffee habit, just to wake up, to build a cleaner future. Brick from recycled coffee grounds is a creative solution to two big problems: construction pollution and coffee waste. As more researchers and the company stayed behind such ideas, the future of the building continuously looks more and a little more caffeined.
