Senegal’s gold mining boom leads to an increase in sex

For several years, the Kédougou region in the Far East of Senegal lives in a gold rush. For precious metals, this race caused thousands of gold miners from West Africa and spreading artist mines. However, along with the economic boom, the region saw an increase in human trafficking. In particular, hundreds of Nigerian women are forced into prostitution in mining areas.
