For a while, a clean historical general war game was published from the creative montage. A few years ago there were three kingdoms, followed by Troy, a saga game. Both were also a super powerful unit generals, fantasy sections such as audience tigers and minotos, and have important mythological elements with historical regimes in the best case. History was not much to chew for fans.
This has changed in general war: Pharaoh. Founded during the collapse of the Bronze Age, Pharaoh was released in mixed opinions due to a small coverage, which includes only Egypt, Canaan and Anatolian parts. Mass free update brought great developments for the game. The map covers all classic Mesopotamia, Anatolia and Greece and has a new fraction with them, including Babylon, Assyria, Elam, Uratu, Sea people, Troy and more.
The gameplay mechanics are well cleaned with developed diplomacy and trade resources based on the region, different kingdom and government mechanics, developed diplomacy and trade resources. As in other games in the series, Pharaoh is a sandbox, which means that you see your kingdom and protect civilization in the world from civilization like Babylon or Hitts.
Someone, which spreads to various common war games in more than 3,000 hours, I feel comfortable with the total war: Pharaoh is one of the best strategy games, not just one of the best war games in recent years.
