The US President in 185 countries wants to guide the region by projection to the global uncertainty, which is caused by US President Donald Trump tariffs.
Southeast Asia is China’s largest trading partner. However, many countries, including Vietnamese and Cambodia, have a strong business relationship with the United States.
Some have already appealed to the White House, hoping to discuss an agreement during a continuous break in the 9th day tariffs.
Experts say that by excluding China, Trump’s agreement is aimed at isolating the event globally.
